The leaves certainly do not change color and unfortunately, the weather stays above 80 degrees. However, one thing that makes our fall seasons so great are fall-themed festivals and events. Food and Wine Festivals
If you’re a lover of savory cuisines and beverages, then visit Epcot at Walt Disney World for its 23rd Annual Food and Wine Festival. From August 30 to November 12, experience culinary demonstrations, a mimosa bar, beverage and cheese seminars and a Disney character dance party. There will also be appearances by ten celebrity chefs, including Art Smith, Buddy Valastro, Carla Hall and Jamie Deen. With 30 global marketplaces, you and your family can taste your way around the world without even leaving the country! Tickets start at $94 per day, and dishes range from $4 to $9.
Don’t want to leave the vicinity of your hotel? Well, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic is the perfect event for you! Not only will you be able to experience the wonder and enchantment of the Swan and Dolphin resort, but you will also be able to taste dishes by award-winning chefs and wines from around the world. As an added bonus, the event is offering eleven educational seminars to teach you all about topics from pasta-making to the fine art of sushi and sake. The event will be held on October 26-27 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are now available for $127 on the event’s website here.
Halloween Events
Do you love Halloween but hate being scared? Attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World for a fun night full of magical entertainment. You’ll be mesmerized by the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks display, “Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular” stage show, and Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade! The event begins on August 25th, and it will be held on 32 select dates until October 31st. Tickets start at $85 – the earlier you go, the cheaper the price!
Arts and Culture Events
Who doesn’t love watching movies? Visit the Orlando Film Festival from October 18-25 to enjoy well-crafted, independent films created by talented individuals. Not only will you be supporting the art of filmmaking, but you will also be able to venture around downtown Orlando and experience the area’s lifestyle. The week of screenings will be accompanied by panels and parties. Tickets are not available yet, so keep an eye out for any updates.
Embrace your Latin side or dive into Spanish culture with Central Florida’s largest Hispanic festival. On October 21 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., this celebration of culture will include four stages with numerous bands, food vendors, sampling, souvenirs, and much more! People from all backgrounds, nationalities and religions have been coming together at this event for the past 20 years, so you don’t want to miss it. Tickets are $15, and kids under 10 are free.
